Super-happy! The Fantastique Number 5 CD single by Plastic Fantastic came in the post this morning! It's great, I have had it pretty much on repeat all day.
The only thing bothering me is the fact that there was never more like it. Romo was such a short-lived craze, so it's difficult to get hold of copies of the music. I suppose this is because nobody bought the few singles when they came out, & those who did probably either didn't keep them or have them stashed away somewhere, lost & forgotten. This saddens me, as I love the sound of what little I've heard. Apparently Plastic Fantastic had an album but it never came out because they had a row with the label about mixes or something. It's a pain that it's not even on youtube, I mean, somebody must have mastertapes or something somewhere, surely? Surely?
Part of me wants to track down the ex-members of Plastic Fantastic & ask them, but that would be difficult & would undoubtedly mean travelling to London, which is expensive & time-consuming. So, if you or anyone you know was ever in the '90's Romo band Plastic Fantastic, I'd literally cry with happy feels if you could get in touch with me. Even if you don't have any mastertapes I could listen to, I'd love to have a chat & fangirl over you. Especially if you have kept your good looks. Same goes for members of Sexus, Hollywood, Viva & Dex Dexter. I love you. Please be in my life.
Ahem. Sorry.
I would also include Orlando in that list, but they did actually release an album & were a bit famous so are probably out of my league. But if you were in Orlando & want to chat, I would not turn you down, I'd just be really starstruck.
